Seagrave Fire Apparatus Makes HAAS Alert’s Safety Cloud® Standard On Custom Apparatus

Jun 29, 2020

Service enables fire vehicles to digitally alert drivers and other Safety Cloud-equipped emergency vehicles to prevent collisions and improve road safety.

Clintonville, WI – Seagrave Fire Apparatus announced today that future custom apparatus orders will include the Safety Cloud service by HAAS Alert as a standard feature. The service will enable emergency crews utilizing a new Seagrave apparatus to alert nearby drivers of their presence (when actively responding) through in-dash notifications and the navigation application Waze. The “Responder-to-Vehicle” alerts improve driver awareness, prevent collisions, and improve compliance with “Move Over” laws.

In addition to new Seagrave apparatus purchased, Safety Cloud will be available for retrofit on existing apparatus. This enables departments to outfit their entire fleet for maximum digital visibility and protection.

Ulisses Parmeziani, President & CEO of Seagrave Fire Apparatus, LLC, said of today’s announcement, “For many years, Seagrave has been recognized in the marketplace as the leader in cabin occupant protection, just like our message states – Firefighters protect communities, Seagrave protects firefighters. Safety Cloud by HAAS Alert adds another layer of protection to crews riding in Seagrave
trucks that completely aligns with our core values. We are very happy to extend this system offer to our valued customers.”

HAAS Alert CEO and Founder Cory Hohs commented, “Safety Cloud is built to bring responders online with drivers and vehicles so that they aren’t just relying on lights and sirens for protection. We work with responder departments nationwide, and we’re proud to be aligned with a company as respected and trusted as Seagrave.”
