Towsoft and HAAS Alert partner to enhance road safety for towing and recovery professionals providing services across the European continent and Canada

MONTREAL, CANADA, September 6, 2023 – Towsoft, a Montreal and Paris-based company providing comprehensive software solutions for the roadside assistance ecosystem, is thrilled to announce its integration with HAAS Alert, the company behind the leading automotive digital alerting service and connected vehicle platform, Safety Cloud®. This partnership aims to substantially enhance the safety of tow truck operators performing roadside recovery and towing services.

Recognized as the largest connected vehicle and digital alert system in North America, Safety Cloud is currently deployed across countless public safety fleets and towing services. With TowSoft's integration to this service, nearby drivers can be notified of their clients' interventions that are on their route via their vehicle’s in-dash infotainment systems or Waze navigation app. Indeed, when technicians signal that they are On Scene via TowSoft’s mobile application, this will prompt motorists up to 30 seconds in advance and encourage them to slow down and move over. Such preemptive alert technology has been shown to reduce collision risk by as much as 90%.

Through its integration with HAAS Alert, TowSoft is confident this will help increase the safety of their clients’ technicians. This achievement would not have been possible without the help of partner towing companies Le Baron & Fils (France) and Remorquage Boissonneault (Canada), both being strong advocates of roadside safety for towing professionals, since they made it possible to test this novelty.

Vincent Stever, CEO of Towsoft, said of the announcement, "Our partnership with HAAS Alert marks a major step forward in our shared commitment to road safety. HAAS Alert's dedication to protecting roadside workers aligns seamlessly with our mission to ensure the safety of towing professionals across the nation. Through the integration of Safety Cloud with our software, we are enabling safer and smarter roads."

"We're happy to collaborate with Towsoft," stated Cory Hohs, CEO of HAAS Alert. "Their commitment to making roads safer through advanced software solutions can drastically improve the work conditions for towing and recovery professionals. By encouraging motorists to comply with Move Over laws through real-time digital alerts, we can significantly decrease risk, making highways safer for all."
