Timely Hazard Alerts
What is emergency vehicle preemption?
Emergency vehicle preemption (EVP) communicates with traffic signals to automatically change lights to green for connected vehicles. When an emergency vehicle approaches an intersection, it maintains the green light until it has completely passed through.
Once the vehicle clears the intersection, the communication with the preemption hardware ends, and the traffic signal returns to its normal operation, allowing traffic to flow as usual.

How does Safety Cloud® enable EVP?
When an emergency apparatus is equipped with Safety Cloud, it can add on EVP through one of our trusted partners. This integration provides emergency vehicles with the best of both worlds.
First responders can alert drivers of their presence while activating green lights en route to an emergency situation, allowing them to reach their destination safely and quickly.

How do I equip my fleet with Safety Cloud digital alerting?
No matter the age, make, or model of your alerting vehicle, it can be equipped with Safety Cloud digital alerts through one of the three following methods:
HA-7 Transponder: integration with existing warning lights
The HA-7 transponder can be installed on any fleet, vehicle, or equipment. It doesn't matter the make, model, or age. The HA-7 connects directly and synchronizes with your flashing lights.

HA-Direct Integration: activate on leading telematics platforms
Safety Cloud also integrates with leading fleet management and telematics solutions, such as Ericsson and Samsara. That means you’ll be able to start alerting through those platforms without installing additional hardware.
Preinstalled and prepaid on new apparatus
Safety Cloud service comes preinstalled and prepaid on new vehicles and apparatus from manufacturers such as Pierce, Frazer, and Rosenbauer. You can also spec HAAS Alert on any new custom build with any manufacturer.
